Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Direction: Meet with senior executives, department leaders, and other project sponsors to review upcoming business needs and produce enterprise-wide IT solutions via hardware, software, operating system, server, and other implementation projects.
• Backup Administration: Create and implement backup policies for use companywide. Configure and maintain Rubrik Clusters ensuring backup policies are executed as designed. Disaster recovery and local recovery as needed.
• O365 Exchange Administration: Manage all users, groups, distribution lists, rooms etc… Manage b illing and license use for enterprise users. Maintain on-premises 2016 Exchange server in a hybrid configuration and ensure email availability 24/7.
• Azure Administration: Manage multiple Microsoft Azure environments and enterprise applications. Provision, manage, monitor, and support all Azure resources. Manage Azure Active Directory and Identity services.
• Microsoft Enterprise Server Administration: Manage enterprise server environment consisting of 6 Domain controllers and 130-member servers. Environment consists of 2008-2016 Microsoft servers in physical/virtual configurations.
• Manage and update servers as needed. Maintain and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Group Policies, File Permissions, Printing, etc.

Selected Accomplishments

• Office 365/Azure Tenant Deployment and Migration. I was responsible for moving from on-prem 2010 Exchange to cloud hosted Office 365.
• Deployment of Azure SSO, migrated all enterprise applications from Government Azure Tenant to Enterprise Azure Tenant.
• Migrated from ADFS to Azure AD for SSO authentication on all enterprise applications.
• Migrated environment from Commvault backup solution to Rubrik backup solution.
• Migrated all enterprise data from Compellent SAN to updated Pure SAN.
• Upgraded all physical networking equipment for entire corportate network, moved from Dell Force to Cisco equipment.
• Upgraded physical ESXi host systems from dell r610,r740 systems to FX2 Chassis and r640 blades.
• Upgraded from VMware vesrsion 5.5 to 6.7 bringing all clusters into supported and compliant versions.

• IT Action Plan: Establish parameters for internally developed and vendor-based IT implementation projects, providing estimate for IT upgrades according to scope, cost, and deliverables. Source vendors, obtain quotes, and negotiate contract agreements on services to develop milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Project Management: Monitor projects throughout entire lifecycle, providing regular reports to key stakeholders and CFO, outlining progression toward project objectives and high-level concerns. Manage priorities, teams, and resource allocation for multiple ongoing projects, directing focus based on shifting operational needs.
• Team Leadership: Manage and track projects while holding weekly meetings with key team members and project managers to identify and resolve major project roadblocks. Lead and coordinate team of 20+ shared IT personnel, overcoming implementation challenges around installation, migration, configuration testing, and user support.
• IT Risk Management: Standardize and enforce governance, security, and best-practices for network infrastructure across all business areas, defining Business Continuity and Risk Management strategies with team members to map out back-up, storage, recovery, and protection of data.
• Budget Planning & Management: Determine capital and expense budgets for IT operations for approval by CFO, incorporating business projects, inventory, software licenses, operational expenses, software development, and other IT-related items into budget for fiscal year.
• SLA Management:Track performance of tiered IT Support system and associated personnel during daily resolution of client and internal user support requests, ensuring ticket volume, call time, escalations, and other monitored metrics and SLAs are met and adhered to.
• System Maintenance: Utilize host of analytical tools and resources to assess data center servers, hardware, performance tuning, severity of risk and threats, security, and other system health concerns, leading immediate response for high-level risk while proactively performing upgrades needed to meet system-related SLAs.

Selected Accomplishments

• Led internal virtualization effort, transitioning and migrating 15 + physical servers into 15+ virtual servers managed through Microsoft Hyper-V and ESXI. Reduced operating costs related physical server purchases and while streamlining support team responsible for maintenance, analytics, and upkeep.
• Steered resource and team onboarding following acquisition of managed service provider, integrating processes and systems into internal IT infrastructure and operations

Key Responsibilities

• Network Administration: Managed and implement MS Active Directory for users within varying group policies. Develop individual virtual servers, remote access, email, firewall protection, application management, and network configuration.
• Network Configuration: Oversaw remote connection and configuration of telecommunication systems for all sites back to internal data centre, supporting additional enterprise network projects impacting company-wide operations and systems.
• Functioned as key contact for collaboration with ISPs on various projects.
• Performance Management: Integrated, monitored, and managed network performance using tools, server logs, and testing procedures, controlling uptime and ensuring security of access points through alerts, traffic watch, and identification of abnormal activity.
• IT Risk Management: Standardize and enforce governance, security, and best-practices for network infrastructure across all business areas, defining Business Continuity and Risk Management strategies with team members to map out back-up, storage, recovery, and protection of data.
• Data Migration: Scheduled and led after-hours data migration projects to upgrade or install client servers, workstations, and operating systems; conduct data conversion, system imaging, virtualization of applications, and other procedures to ensure workflows remain consistent throughout transition.
• Vendor Management: Liaised with vendors and suppliers of networking hardware, communicating with procurement divisions to obtain necessary components for new projects.
• Recovery & Disaster Planning: Contributed to enterprise back-up, recovery, and disaster planning, assisting architecture teams in design, support, and configuration required for data management plan.
